OK, tried Workaround A, same problem but get blank screen instead of
flashing lines. Tried an earlier kernel and that gives me same problem
but screen freezes as is. So it appears that I am on the problem, but
don't have the technical ability to solve it. Tried Workaround C but
couldn't get the

(suspend to memory) have worked fine with 10.04 until I changed gnome-
screensaver properties to increase too short for me lock time. After

via libvirt/virtmanager.
I mention this because virt-manager adds additional input (virtual
tablet, maybe others)devices to the vm in order to implement 'seemless'

fine.
