After removing all nvidia packages and installing
nvidia-185-libvdpau(Transitional package for nvidia-185-libvdpau) and
running jocky (harsware drivers) to create new xorg.conf fixed it for
me..

When Autoscroll is used, it would lock up the entire system, cause

@KaGeN101: So if alsa-intel-hda-update-diwic-m6500 was not part of the
path to the filename, you need to uninstall whatever that is that is
used instead. Try the following:
dpkg -S snd-hda-codec.ko
You'll get a list of files and packages. One of those files should be
the same as listed in
@KaGeN101: Unless that package is linux-image-2.6.32-24-generic, then
probably something else is wrong with the installation of alsa-intel-
hda-update-diwic-m6500-dkms.
