In my case the eclipse crash was somehow related to the new Indicator Applet
Application Menu. I tried it some weeks ago and removed the applet from my
panel short time after (as it doesn't integrate well with eclipse yet).

Indeed it was a really nasty way to do it, I have just used the code
that I had modified to handle many python versions... and it was
