I also experience this with checkgmail upon clicking on the title of
certain wide-formatted emails on the checkgmail toolbar icon, causing
the checkgmail window to be very large, and crashing compiz with error:

i did NOT reproduce the bug on a fresh installation of Ubuntu 10.10 RC
(today's daily) 32 bit in VirtualBox. The output in the terminal was the
same, so this output may not be linked to the bug.
I had a similar bug (on a installation in VirtualBox virtual disk, not live-cd)
when cancelling
