I had a boot problem with maveric, too. My solution was to add the apparmor
sevurity rules in virt-manager. Now it works again.

I would very much appreciate an update on the backport to 10.04 as well.
We're currently running a custom-patched X server on 2 workstations, but
it's basically preventing a company-wide rollout of 10.04 so far. We
intend to upgrade to 10.04 and stay there until the next LTS release.

a usdeful percentage value again!

maverick: gnome-power-manager does not display battery percentage on left icon
click, even when told so by gconf-editor - instead wants to calculate time even
if not
Typing error: of course I meant pm-utils instead of gnome-power-
manager.

maverick: suspend / hibernate work only corrently by timeout or low battery
events, but not on request (button or menu) - resuming then fails (might also
be kernel or xorg issue)

Bugs,
I upgraded my bios on my HP dv6-2129el to latest version.
Now suspend / resume works better but system needs to reboot (cpu goes high
and down on X now)

I have the same problem when I put my laptop in sleep an then wake it up again.
Sometimes I manage to restore the wifi led by running
sudo service udev --full-restart
sudo service network-manager --full-restart
sudo iwlist wlan0 scan

What locale exactly do you live in ?
I'm not sure maintainers will be able to read your report, as some
characters may be rendering weirdly for them... can you provide an
english translation in latin1 characters ?
