Binary package hint: virt-manager
This happens when I start a VM. virt-manager crash but the VM is
correctly started and I can see it by restarting virt-manager. This
seems to happen 90% of the time I start a VM.

Not sure if that was a typo or Joshua meant the commands in step 2. However
just start at step 2 and that will get you the required DEBUG logs. The first
two lines is actually one long command:
echo [logging]\nlevel = DEBUG\nfile_size = 10485760
~/.config/ubuntuone/logging.conf
So
I've tried the live of maverick (kernel 2.6.35-22) and without the acpi=off
option the kernel hang.
Is my acer acpi bugged? Are the kernels from 2.6.32 not compatibile with my
acer? There are some kernel compile parameters that permit my acer to 1310 to
shutdown correctly?

I'm now running mainline kernel 2.6.37-rc2 with the current Realtek
driver. The driver I had been using under the Ubuntu kernel from the
repository was 2.6.0015.0127.2010. The current driver from Realtek is

Not yet. It can happen at any moment. I'll leave virt-manager running
for a few days and report back if I notice anything at the moment of the

Affects my box as well, Intel DG965OT mainboard.
Between about 20 reboot cycles (warm and cold), I managed to get a connection
