I downloaded the iso from here: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download
1st time at ~29. April.
To burn the CD-RW, I used ImgBurn on Windows XP.
To prepare the USB-Stick, I used the Ubuntu build-in Live media creator from
System menu.
2nd time, ~4 weeks later, I downloaded it again and
I've tried to do the workaround suggested in
http://markmail.org/message/5ary4cvzlirvro73, but unfortunately there is
just not enough information for a non-programmer like me to do this
right.
On a more specific level, I do not understand where exactly I should add
the code lines mentioned in

naturally do not need to check anything before and after
suspend/hibernate, simply test in the situation where the problem

In natty the xserver was upgraded to 1.10 which has a lot of trouble with
nvidia cards. Ubuntu is not the only distribution that has these problem but
suffers most from it because of unity 3D.
In maverick (10.10) the xserver version was 1.9 which worked very well with
nvidia cards.
I think Sharma's way is better.
I did not offer any alternative, I just changed the bug title to something

i couldn't figure out how to get nautilus to keep from spawning, i
copied the autostart .desktop to .local/share/applications and changed
it to not autostart but apparently that didn't override the main one; i
also tried nautilus -q, and searching for whatever gconf keys are
restarting it, to no
i use this quick little script whenever yarssr decides to freeze up. though it
hasn't done so since i increased its update time to 10 minutes.
-running this will kill and restart yarssr. works great on my mint11 and
ultimate edition 2.8 installs. use @ your own risk ;)

Add, you can enter the name of a PPA, and USC will show the PPA as its

/usr/share/hunspell/es.dic
and creates the symbolic links:
/usr/share/hunspell/es_AR.aff - es.aff
/usr/share/hunspell/es_AR.dic - es.dic
/usr/share/hunspell/es_BO.aff - es.aff
With linux image 2.6.38-9-generic, card reader works, volumes on cards are
auto-mounted, and the appropriate icon appears on the desktop.

What is exactly your problem now? It is normal that there is only one
instance of cupsd running. Your error_log shows print jobs which seem to
have completed successfully. If you have failed print jobs with nothing
or wrong printouts coming out, please try to reproduce them getting an
error_log as
can you take a screenshot? I tried installing and setting gkrellm to a
panel/sticky but I could still use global menu.
