3.2.0-13.22 fixed this! Just did three consequtive reboots and a cold
boot with wistron_btns. Each booted just fine and the wireless was

With the latest updates from edgers and the 3.2rc-2 kernel, I no longer
get the issue it seems. Had a marathon gaming session on my laptop when
I finally got a day off with no problems whatsoever. There was a recent
update to mesa in edgers that I think may have done the trick.

Unfortunately since the push I am now experiencing the same constant
lockup that I reported earlier. To be fair, this specific bug may be
patched, however I am unable to determine as my system has effectively
been rendered unusable. Apport doesn't seem to be picking up the bug.

I've created an updated package (upstart version '1.4-0ubuntu5~jh ') in
my 'ppa:jamesodhunt/upstart-job-logging' PPA [1] that fixes this issue.
Please could those affected by this problem try it out and
I need to look at this, but the package has default configuration at
installation.
So general.conf should be present.
Furthermore, even if not present, the application creates a default one.
The issue is related to:
null/general.conf
The null points, I think, that BIOMAJ_ROOT env variable is

Hi Clint, thanks for the reply. I think that either I have made a
mistake and the bug is really fixed, or reply #27 is mistaken and the
bug was not fixed by the update.
Perhaps the problem is that I have somehow not installed the update. The
output of dpkg -l firefox shows
