I noticed the file name inside an archive is not readable if it contains
foreign characters (Cyrillic in my case), probably cp1251 compressed in
Windows. The archive is compressed in rar format. I hope this is
helpful.

After upddating to Firefox 11 on Ubuntu 10.04.4 (64bit) the bookmark
toolbar is empty, websites (e.g. my iGoogle page) aren't displayed
coreectly and no search engines are shown in the top right search box.
Removing xul-ext-bindwood solved that problem. It seems that this

Confirmed from Jason Warner that the cause of the problem is:
compiz (composite) - Error: Screen 0 on display :0 already has a compositing
manager; try using the --replace option to replace the current compositing
manager.

The unusual thing is
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

I guess you can say that. The grey area on the secondary monitor is
still there though. Its just empty. So if the area is there but the
indicators and so on do not show then I am not sure whethere you can say
top panel does not appear.
Also, when this happens, the application's name still shows
