in with /. looking for a running autofs I find it not started. Executing sudo
service autofs start starts autofs. After cd ~ my home is mounted and
available.
This error is erratic, but only on

that the nova url is a problem. I think it is far more likely that you
have an older version of novaclient that is overiding the one from
precise. Perhaps you have pip installed novaclient or done a setup.py
install?

On my system, dhcp3 was a symlink pointing to dhcp (dunno why). Samba
expects two different directories here.
What I did:
cd /etc
rm dhcp3
cp -r dhcp dhcp3
apt-get -f install

Accepted lxc into precise-proposed. The package will build now and be
available in a few hours. Please test and give feedback here. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Thank you in advance!

It would also be helpful to see the output of this command as root:
initctl list | grep yp
and to have the contents of /etc/default/nis attached.

I worked around it by compiling from source.
Keepalived IF you are using it is liking to be a HIGHLY critical service
(I am not currently but will again).

Ah, deprecated auth is most likely the problem. I suspect deprecated
auth doesn't support multiple endpoints. It really is only still there
to allow you to transition to keystone. Is there some reason you haven't
switched?
