that the root cause of *this* bug appears to be bug 999427, that is,
that the Unity launcher items are pointing incorrectly to the desktop

just a matter of whether the panel shadow gets drawn before or after
certain windows.
We are still waiting on feedback from the design team regarding what
their preferred behaviour is.

Looks like sarvatt's gotten it fix committed in Debian, but I went ahead
and pushed the ubuntu package into quantal to shortcut this towards
SRUing.

This has been in precise-proposed for quite a while now, though it was
obviously not accepted in any formal SRUish way, or the bug status would
reflect that. Can you guys verify that the binaries do indeed pass some
regression testing, as well as fix the bug at hand and update the bug
tag as
OH GOSH! I just read your apport information again, I missed have missed
the fact that your CPU architecture is AMD64 and Bandwidthd:i386 is a
i386 package. What this means is you have the wrong .Deb. So, delete
bandwidthd.deb and try installing through Synaptic.

I am running 12.04 with nVidia-vdpau installed. In nVidia Settings, Sync
to VBlank is enabled by default for BOTH xVideo and OpenGL. There is no
such setting (that I can see) affecting vdpau.
When login in with session type Ubuntu-2d, CPU keeps near 0% usage when
playing H.264 video at 1080p
