proxy was not allowing access to some repositories.
Therefore I bypassed the proxy and everything was okay. We can close this case

I upgraded my HP5101 to 12.04 LTS and it has the latest updates of today

package ttf-root-installer (not installed) failed to install/upgrade:
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit
RC3 boots, but pretty much everything launched behaves badly, with no
controls on the windows. It may well be an fglrx issue as it's usually
the culprit when 3d isn't available.

Thanks for the report. Could you try playing the file with gstreamer
(the engine which rhythmbox uses to play files) from the command line?
Something like
gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///path/to/your/file
and see if the same happens there.

Rohan, libvkontakte is missing locales, so libvkontakte-data should be dropped
(i'm refering to the packaging at bazaar, not your built digikam). Otherwise it
builds fine on Precise:
