We have a custom cairo background / highlight around the tick boxes.
There is consensus to remove those.
But in the adwaita theme the buttons look odd, and ubiquity is simply

Still here on quantal.
I used unity2d as a workaround since remmina worked well with it, so the
problem seems to be with compiz.

block device really hasn't been found.

While installing Quantal Daily builds I noticed that at the slideshow
stage when ubiquity is actually installing Ubuntu, it shows the status
of what it is currently doing, like configuring apt, Retreiving file,
etc.
But even when I install it using Live USB, it shows

I confirm it, too. Exact the same procedure - maybe I should have read this
before. It seems not to happen, if UEFI-Boot-Support is deactivated in BIOS.

Thanks Anthony. I have indeed kubuntu 12.04 with kde 4.9.00 from
kubuntu-ppa/backports, and the problem goes away, if I use the package
from šumski's repository.

I investigated this issue a bit deeper yesterday.
It seems that building rekonq on top of KDE 4.8 triggers this issue when the
package is used with KDE 4.9.
Probably a kind of binary incompatibility.
But before making kubuntu-ppa/backports as a dependencie of the daily build, I
want to make sure

The version built with KDE 4.9 from testing2 works as intended in my KDE
4.9.00 system (no questions about the default engine, url bar search
works fine, middle click search also). Thanks!
