Wouldn't it be easier to implement cifs in a way similar to pyNeighbourhood ?
I mean using cifs directly and not using the buggy gvfs-fuse GNOME software ?

Same issue with fresh install of release ISO (x64). I have a multiboot
system (several partitions). Grub was not installed. I always install
grub to the partition and selected that option during install. The
third-party bootloader I am using (BootIT Baremetal) reports the
partition is not bootable.

I believe this is a regression in 3.5.0-27-generic, this didn't happen
on my X220 with 3.5.0-25-generic

I installed the DKMS alsa driver and rebooted, with no luck.
I then examined the file /usr/share/alsa/cards/HDA-Intel.conf and found
that it does not have the changes shown in the git commit referenced
above. I altered the file by applying the commit myself manually, and
rebooted again.
