I just upgraded my Dell XPS 13 (native Ubuntu with sputnik project) to
13.10 and suspension does not work: with sudo pm-suspend or sudo pm-
hibernate I got absolutely no response, as if I do nothing, while via
menu what I obtain is equivalent to lock screen i.e. blank screen and
requires password

Thanks for your detailed response and thanks for working on this bug.
This bug isn't present in the desktop cube plugin so I might try to use
it for a while though it's not quite as effect as desktop wall plugin.
Is this bug the reason why workspaces have been disabled by default
