Well, as for having both geoclues in main, the beginning of the cycle is
the time to do it. Gives the most time to get main ported over.
Especially since for some of them, it'd just involve dropping a patch we
have for using geoclue1.

When I needed to install something through synaptic, there were a lot of
packages which needed an update. So I duly updated them. But then there
was a system error, which resulted in this report.
Before this I had wanted to upgrade to 14.10 (from 14.04) which failed
because
it is notable that the guest session is ultimately specified by lightdm
itself. however, i had no problems with xubuntu (utopic fwiw), so i can
confirm that this is indeed a problem with how lightdm's guest session
interacts with lxsession.

The problem also seems to be related to the current state of the wifi
router. After a reboot of my wireless router, everything works fine
again at the moment.

The problem is the same as in #387576
libnss-ldap doesn't recognize armhf as a debian glibc system.
There are a lot of kludges in there about glibc. Isn't it easier just to merge
debian libnss-ldap?
