I totally forgot to mention that although the lsusb command sees my USB
printer as "Bus 002 Device 010: ID 04e8:3297 Samsung Electronics Co.,
Ltd ML-191x/ML-252x Laser Printer" the printer config tool won't detect
it.
Out of about thirty shots my printer got recognized
Affects dell m4800 and m6800 with nvidia/intel card.

I was reading some post on the Arch site and it seems compiling with
GTK2 rather than GTK3 resolved the problem. I just build 3.0.1-7 package
from source on my machine (using GTK3). The flickering issue seems to be
down to just the cursor but I have some other build issues I need to
look into.

/usr/local installation of the libraries as @Sebastien Bacher suggested
in #7 Once, I've removed them, `ldd /usr/lib/upower/upowerd` finds
