Using this command to suspend solves all suspend/resume problems here
echo mem> /sys/power/state
I guess this command directly tells the kernel to suspend, without
relying on buggy systemd crap.

it appears that this is resolved in xenial/16.04. booting with both an
empty /etc/hostname and no /etc/hostname result in the system picking up
its dhcp-assigned hostname.

CAPS LOCK as keyboard
Just updated to 16.04 LTS. It seems that greeter crashes and restarts
when Capslock is pressed to switch languages and the languages doesn't
change. This makes it impossible to login if keyboard layout indicator
in menu bar is disabled.
