I have told this before, the only reason I reported this bug was because I
had a pop up saying that ___ has stopped working, would you like to
report this.
I reported because I thought that I might be helping since I am a tester
(albeit for themes on devel branch and latest gnome).
I've been trying to fix this network-manager problem for quite some time
and guess what. In the it turned out that it isn't a network manager or
ubuntu problem at all. It's a 4.4 kernel issue. Just change the kernel.
I manually downloaded and installed kernel 4.6, and ... the problem is
gone

Backporting wine 1.8 (to replace 1.6) to 16.04 is simply not something
