This has already happened in Debian (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=903630) and seems to be caused by the fact that
I think you need to set these via the gnome config, otherwise g-s-d will
reset the settings

I've made the necessary changes described in #2 above but when I plug in
