repository and I now have the Xubuntu boot splash screen back and no
longer experience a crash after logging in.

Hello from 2019. This is still a problem for me on Ubuntu 18.10. Is this
bug still being worked on? Could it be a related problem to gnome

Use Firefox to connect to the hotspot is working for me .. need to find out
