I'm on Xubuntu 19.04 Disco Dingo now and I still have this issue with
Window Manager settings window. It doesn't always crash, but the issue
with disappearing buttons when changing the layout is all the time, easy

Yes, your patch "seems" to work in my case.
I wanted to reconfigure an old PC to be a music server connected to our
HIFI. It took 3 days and 7 attempts to successfully install 18.04 due
to an issue with installing on PC with multiple drives. It refused to
correctly write the GRUB boot loader to the same partition it itself
installed

The Ubuntu Error Tracker has been receiving reports about a problem regarding
aptdaemon. This problem was most recently seen with package version
1.1.1+bzr982-0ubuntu19, the problem page at

I tested today using Xubuntu 19.04 daily (20190325) and could NOT re-create
this issue.
