I'm not sure if it's even the same bug, but my system now boots normally using grub2 1.93.16+2.02-2ubuntu8.15, but i have to manually edit the boot entry at bios, and use the file /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/grubx64.efi, instead of /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/shimx64.efi (and now I'm unable to use secure boot).
