machine (FreeNAS 11.3, VMware ESXi 6.7),
I fixed /etc/netplan/00-installer-config.yaml, I replaced "enp0s5" with
"enp0s4" and I rebooted virtual machine. Issue is fixed, it gets IP
address from DHCP server during server boot! So it looks like
"subiquity" just created wrong netplan configuration. So basic
configuration and it was not done
This is in file etc/netplan/00-installer-config.yaml (enp0s5 is
configured with DHCP4, but real NIC is enp0s4...)

I want to add that it seems rather widespread, as just about every in depth
review I have seen of 20.04 on YouTube brings up this issue.
Also, disabling the notification does not work because of the fact that it
occurs at first login.
Considering how widespread this is, shouldn't it be at a
Public bug reported:
Ubuntu-bug will not let you report a bug if you have upgraded a package
using external sources.
Package zoom was so old the server rejected it. Downloaded the new
.deb file from upstream source. Now I can't report a bug on zoom that
the package is so far out of date.
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

I did a downgrade as proposed and can confirm that the problem goes away
then.
We are running our own ntp server on bionic. Maybe you could verify the
problem by running your own ntp server. The problem with check_ntp_time
also occurs when querying
