This actually used to work for quite a while. I was able to see a
calendar invite, and click it to add to my calendar. This stopped
working maybe a year ago? I don't know if it has to do with Thunderbird,
or the sending application. Too bad there is no standard that all
programs can follow.

LONG STORY:
We installed a fresh ubuntu server 20.04, downloading updates during
installation (kernel 5.4.0-47).
We setup an ocfs2 cluster, tried to create a simple file on the new volume
(with
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

I actually think this is either a bug with systemd or a change in how it
handles the services which apport-autoreport includes. I've tested this
by changing /usr/lib/systemd/system/apport-autoreport.service so that it
contains the following:
ExecStart=/usr/bin/aplay
