I can't seem to find clear cut explanation why python-apt is missing
from the repositories. AFAICT, there was a security release Dec 10th? If
this was intentional or not, I'll leave this issue here, at least for
those who run up against this issue and don't know why.

I haven't used cinnamon before, so I don't know if this is normal, but
there's tons of apps which relay on system tray functionality that don't
show up in the cinnamon tray. For example: telegram, barrier, ipfs-
desktop, discord, etc.
These apps all show up correctly in the

python2 and virtualbox, but upgrade dh-python. The upgraded dh-python
doesn't work with virtualbox.
I uninstalled dh-python, let dist-upgrade do what it wanted, then re-

option, but if you install the gnome-shell-extension-prefs application (see

Running Ubuntu server 20.04.1 LTS (CLI only), after switching from other
distro (Manjaro and Artix) which present the same issue; basically I
tried the debian based, arch based and systemd free distro.
Issue description: issuing the command "shutdown -h now" or "poweroff -f"

Hi.
In the meantime I was able to reproduce the very same bug in a fresh Ubuntu LTS
(Desktop) installation:
- I downloaded ubuntu-20.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso and copied it to an USB stick.
- I did a standard installation on an old PC (I selected to wipe out the whole
disk).
- After that, I let

Thanks a lot for your email.. I would like to inform you that after that
problem i shutted my laptop down and turned it on again and then i saw it
was working properly..then It asked for some updates.. But from my
curiosity i searched about it and found out the solution from askubuntu
site. and

Kai-Heng, yes the root was ZFS, but it's not anymore. I have reinstalled
using btrfs on root and the latest kernel (5.10). The lockups have
stopped occurring.
