There was a glitch as I was watching a youtube video that imprinted a
still image on the screen with transparent vertical stripes. Restarted
the computer and the same image was imprinted behind the GRUB boot-
loader menu during start up. Unusual behavior that continued 2-3

I tried to install ubuntu 20.04 LTS from usb (twice).
Install configuration: lvm partition with pass, check box for install updates
from net, check box to install third party drivers.
When installation started it was ok and about 10 min showed some screens during

Missing php-mbstring dependency

Observed:
installed gpxviewer from the software centre
ran it
got a "No module named gi.repository" error when I tried to run it. gpxviewer
did not start.
Expected:
gpxviewer starts with no errors
Workaround:
manually install python-gi (apt-get install python-gi)

This was caused by downloading a different version of the files than was
intended.
Once the correct version was in place everything behaved as it should.

Still reproducible for me with a Logitech C270 and kernel-
default-5.13.0-1.2.x86_64 on openSUSE Tumbleweed.

Still happening with my Logitech C310 (046d:081b) on 5.9.9.
When the issue is happening, a recording with "arecord -d3 test.wav" takes
about 11 seconds instead of 3 and playing back the recorded file gives the
high-pitched / chipmunk sound mentioned above.

If I then run
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
apt-get dist-upgrade
I get nothing except the message
