Yes I guess this is a race where the symlink is not in place by the time
the copy runs. It's a bit hard to be believe but it looks like this case
threads its way through the casper code without hitting a udevadm
settle, so presumably adding one somewhere would make it work. OTOH it
can take a
PS: petition to rewrite casper entirely in udev rules, or something

exists, and Alt + Tab is nonfunctional. My suggestion is to disallow the

I decided to have the Sony WalkMan reformat itself. MTP over USB working
much better now.
Very odd that I could play MP3 recordings with the player without
issues... only issues was removing files, copying new files to it.
The thing that tipped me off to try reformatting the device with itself
Tested on Lenovo ThinkPad 13, i7-7500U, Intel Wireless 8265 / 8275. With
4.15.0-151 there was a freeze after 1-15 min. After 6 hours no issues
with 4.15.0-153 kernel. Thank you Juerg.

Further to comment #9 this issue seems fixed. I tested with gnome-
software version 3.38.1-1 in the current development version (impish)
and the 'Remove' button was displayed immediately after installation
completed.
xenial, yakkety and zesty are no longer supported so closing bug report.

i2c_hid back but does not help. Tried kernels 5.12.8, 5.12.11, 5.13.1
through 5.13.7, 5.14-rc2, 5.14-rc3 but no luck.
