In Ubuntu 7.10 Tribe 2, some of the applications which use GNOME are instable:

I've resolved the bug! It was very easy:
For the external device: I switched ON the PCM and Headphone tracks
For the volume of the applet: I setted the preference to Headphone or PCM

ICH6 - I cannot set volume and Ubuntu uses only the integrated speaker of my PC

In Ubuntu 7.10 Tribe 2 I opened CompizConfing Settings Manager, I clicked on
Animations (Effects) and the icons near the plugin's name were disappear.
I've installed compiz-fusion-plugins-extra.

«gksu» or «sudo» to call «ubiquity --desktop gtk-ui». Without this, the
application crashes during setting partitions.
