When I started with the new kernel I first had graphics issues. No
animations, only internal monitor working, black screen after sleep.
That was caused by a missing graphics driver. Software Updater suggested

- on Ubuntu 13.10 w/ LibreOffice 4.1.3.2 (from Ubuntu)
- on Ubuntu 13.10 w/ LibreOffice 4.2.0.2 (official debs [1])
A fresh LibreOffice profile (~/.libreoffice* and ~/.config/libreoffice*
moved out of the way) has been used for the second test.

LibreOffice Impress discards changes to documents without notice in certain
circumstances. It happens when the object in question is part of a custom
animation and if no other content is modified before saving.

Reproduce:
Try sending a fax using the fax printer from Evince, LibreOffice, etc.
Expected result:
Target phone number selection dialog should appear (from hplip).
Actual result:
Nothing visible happens / dialog doesn't appear.

I stumbled upon this problem as well.
The root cause is an error in the build process, more specifically the
debian/rules Makefile.
First, the ldap flavour of the binary is built and moved to
isc-dhcp-server-ldap/dhcpd. This works as expected, the resulting binary

I'm hitting this problem on a fully updated Kubuntu 10.10. Please see

Turns out the problem is already known and fixed at upstream [1].
I've successfully built a version of brasero based on the current ubuntu
sources (apt-get source brasero). After applying the mentioned [2] patch, the
problem no longer exists.
Hope this helps to release a fixed brasero package
