@Christopher: Sorry to say that, but it does not make any sense to perform an apport- collect two and a half years after reporting the bug. Furthermore, I cannot do this anymore since I do not have the machine where this particular bug appeared anymore, I am not working in this office anymore.

[Bug 827627] Re: apt should be able to use an opportunistic cache/proxy

[Bug 827610] [NEW] oneiric's desktop manager does not leave a choice of locale

2011-08-16 Thread Hadmut Danisch

[Bug 821505] Re: Ctrl-Alt-T does not start Terminal under oneiric alpha-3

2011-08-16 Thread Hadmut Danisch
I just upgraded to the latest state of oneiric, but it still does not work. Maybe the reason is that I use a keyboard with a german mapping, and oneiric is still unable to have a german keyboard setting. Meanwhile a manual setxkbmap works (it recently didn't), but still no Ctrl-Alt-T. regards

[Bug 827627] [NEW] apt should be able to use an opportunistic cache/proxy

2011-08-16 Thread Hadmut Danisch
Public bug reported: Hi, apt-get can use a HTTP proxy if on is configured in its settings, but then it fails if the proxy is unavailable. Would be nice (and save ubuntu's server resources) if apt-get could use a proxy/cache opportunisticly, i.e. use it if available and access the repositories

[Bug 781870] Re: 32-bit libraries erroneously load 64-bit libraries

I currently can't check this. I have only one computer (a 32bit machine) under oneiric and still so much trouble with it that I don't dare to move one of my bigger 64 bit machines to oneiric. However, I would see the mail problem that the path /usr/lib is ambiguous. If I understand that

[Bug 821118] Re: oneiric installer does not support english language in Germany
