made the hangs less frequent, it has not solved the issue on 3 different
sets of hardware.

Re-tested here with Lucid (i386) on an MSI Wind NetTop DE200 (Intel Atom
+ HD4330) and it still fails with the BIOS signature error. RadeonHD

gThumb in Karmic (for me) but happens on all 3 machines I have running
Lucid B1. The mounts are nautilus/gvfs. As the OP stated, it picks up

for me too. The latest/fixed 195 has also now shown up in the vdpau

FWIW I'm seeing the Invalid video BIOS signature on an MSI Wind NetTop
(Intel Atom + HD 4330) with Catalyst 9.10 (Karmic) and the 9.11 series
from ATI/AMD. No dual video or BIOS option to select one like on some
laptops that have both Intel and ATI video. Let me know if you want a

Okay, I may have lost it when I changed the system to keep time with
Internet servers from the default manual mode. Setting it back to manual
fixed the issue. I then went in and set it back to using ntp and the fix
seems to have held.

Please go to CCSM, general options and uncheck unredirect fullscreen
windows. Then see if it still happens.

Same issue here with the 8.04 release (64-bit, clean install) on an MSI
MS-16332 laptop.
Reports as RTL8111/8168B, loads the r8169 driver and gets no addresses
from dhcp. Worked fine under Gutsy, blah, blah like everyone else :)
