Well I added changes for #54, #73 and #79 but no joy - still get
runlevel unknown
I have intel i3 machine with 4GB.
I normally dont complain about free software but the ubuntu quality
control sucks. The upgrade from 8 to 9 was a disaster, the upgrade from
9 to 10 was a disaster so I did a fresh
boot.log and syslog

Just for information, It was produced using convert (ImageMagick) from a
scan .png image using xsane but I dont think I want to go down that
route :-)

I dont recall having any else running. I was running apt-get dist-
upgrade from the command line. Ill check the logs tomorrow to see if
there is any info there.

fyi - Im getting the same problem with the stingray modem on
2.6.27-7-generic lastest kernel at this time. Ill try the patched
speedtch.ko.

Ive just installed the mythbuntu intrepid version on an R40E. After boot
the screen displays the logon panel but the keyboard and mouse are dead.
I did a build of the latest kernel linux - 2.6.27-7.10 but still the
same problem. I can get to terminal screen.
