Sorry for the many messages. I was convinced that apport-collect would
only use one comment. If you grep dmesg for acpi_sleep you will see
it's passed as a command line argument in grub. I think I've done it
properly: edit /etc/default/grub and run update-grub as root.

much info had dmesg given me any error messages regarding the unknown

In order to check the current evince behaviour, I opened again the pdf
linked by Rebecca Palmer. The maximum memory usage I saw using system
monitor was 55 Mb, when scrolling through pages 21-22. As soon as I
passed those two gnuplot graphs, memory usage dropped to about 30 Mb.
Bear in mind that
OK, I've seen again a wifi crash today. It took a while, but it
happened. However, I'm not 100% sure it's the same error. This is the

I suspended my T400 by closing the lid. From the blkinking small moon
light, the procedure seemed to go OK. I unplugged and plugged in my
laptop and, after opening the lid, the laptop didn't wake up. Pressing

OK, I'm attaching a NEF edited with ViewNX. Let's see if launchpad
allows uploading a 10Mb file. Please excuse my photographic abilities.
Note again that the correct image can be extracted with the command
dcraw -e DSC_5013.NEF

Following the updates to linux-image-2.6.27-14 I got today, there was an
excuse for new testing. However, the result is the same: this new image
doesn't boot. I've tried three times, always without the quiet splash
option, and two of them in text mode. In usplash, the last

I also own a T400 (2765TDG in my case). I haven't tested jaunty yet, but
in intrepid, consistently successful suspend/resume and hibernate/resume
required disabling one core for about 10 seconds right before sleep and
reenabling it right after resuming. I found the suggestion and the

I'd like to make a small point. If you are using linux-backports-modules
(lbm) because you need a newer wifi driver, the module that regulates
which channels you see is no longer cfg80211 but lbm_cw_cfg80211.
Thus, the line that needs to be added to /etc/modprobe.d/options is
options
Just adding some more noise by saying that this also happens in a VM
running under VirtualBox.
