I'm using a fresh install of Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 64 bits.
I have a desktop HP dual-core 2,8 Ghz with a ATI X1600 with 512 MB and
2 GB RAM.
I have zswap enable in the Kernel using the 3.14-4 version downloaded from

Hi, today (a few hours ago) I updated my Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 64 bits fresh
install using the Staging PPA to Gnome 3.12.
The only (huge) problem so far is with Synaptic!
I can confirm the issue describ above.
When I open Sybnaptic it takes about 2 to 3 minutes to load! The fan goes
crazy! Spinning
Well, I just installed for the 3rd or 4th time the package gdm, and the problem
is solved?!
And it was the exact same version that I had already installed!?
So, now I have all de xsession/de options available!
What as made me very sad is that note a single answer from anyone in launchpad

Except for some troubles with Flash in Firefox, that made me force close the
