There is an option in Keyboard Layout settings that can partially fix it
- If you choose Allow different layouts for individual windows then
the dash can always be in english (for starting programs) and will stay
in english even if different applications are in other keyboard layouts.
But there is
The issue started for me in 12.10 (in 12.04 it didn't occur)
quite a harmless bug but very annoying...

Title:
[SRU Regression] Launcher and
thanks Yair, I think I understand the problem now,
I'll try to describe it in more detail:
problem 1:
english string is - Moving %B
printf is called like this - printf(Moving %B,special_variable)
the %B is replaced with special_variable - using some custom function which
parses
It still happens in interpid
This is quite a serious bug - it can cause accidental data loss
the string comes from rosetta, here:
https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/gtk+2.0/+pots/gtk20/he/331/+translate
** Attachment added: scr01.png
I'm not sure if this is the same bug but it is very similiar, simply
compying more then 1 file in nautilus causes it to crash. This still
happens in Interpid.
This is caused by a bad translation in Rosetta here:
also, the diff attached by noam should be applied, all the translations
in rosetta with %'d should also have the %'d in the translations,
instead of a textual representation of the number:
thanks, unfortunately now it doesn't happen anymore... I guess you can
close the bug if the information is not sufficient.

thanks, like I said the problem is that the program doesn't crash - it
hangs, and I have to do a 'force quit' on it - so I don't know how to
get a trace of the hang. I followed the guide for backtracing already
running programs - that's the trace that is attached, but when nautilus

Hello, thanks for the quick reply.
This po file was released with the gnucash 2.2.6 release - you can also
get it from the gnucash source.
I think it would be better to disable the launchpad translations for
hebrew gnucash - I am managing the hebrew translation of gnucash and we
already have 2
Just to be perfectly clear about this - the translation is packaged with
the gnucash source, if it was an existing translation it would have been
updated from the gnucash source, I guess that because this is a new
translation which was only added to gnucash in 2.2.6 it does not appear

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: language-pack-he-base
A hebrew translation of gnucash was added in version 2.2.6 of gnucash
(which is in interpid).
The attached gnucash.mo file should be added to the language-pack-he-
base package in /usr/share/locale/he/LC_MESSAGES
Thanks, Ori.
