Fresh install on a physical system.
UEFI (in non legacy mode)
Secureboot ON
NetInstall via PXE
Select 'guided partitioning - LVM+encryption' as disk formatting stage.
Installation goes fine (except for the know problem with
GRUB_ENABLE_CRYPTODISK in /etc/default/grub)
Exact same problem.
When I hot unplug the HDD connected to the card, I get a kernel stack trace:

Additional data point:
If I start with the card plugged in, insertion and removal of USB2.0 devices
work fine.
If I insert a USB 3.0 device, nothing is visible in syslog.
If I insert the same USB 3.0 device
