I've just spent a lot of time by a newbie user, by whom I've installed
ubuntu with gnome (i'm a kde user)
This user was pretty disapointed, that on burning a new session on a
multisession disc, was hidding the previous burned files...

energy profile, the presentation profile was not displayed in the drop down
list. I though first, that it was not possible to choose that profile from the
applet, but then I realised, that it is

For me on sony fz, EnableBrightnessControl isn't working with the glx drivers...
The nvidia_bl isn't working for me (I tried karmic version, there is no lucid
one), and in the description, it is supposed to support only NV40 and , not
NV50 like my geforce 8...

Until a few days, an update seems to have made knetworkmanager /
network-manager no more working.
Knetwork-manager is complaining about not managed network, and nothing change
if I restart network-manager.

In kubuntu lucid :
- If I try to change the timezone from the system settings, then buttons are
grey, I can't validate the change...
- if I try to change it through the taskbar clock plasmoid, then the same form
appears, the Ok button
