Public bug reported:
Since installing 12.04 I can no longer connect my windows XP clients to my
laser printers on the Ubuntu system using samba.
It works on 11.10 using the exact same smb.conf file.
I can see the printers from the windows clients, I can select it, I install the
drivers

Same problem on 12.04 on both 32 64 installs .
Same document prints from my 11.10 install but if I select 20 copies it sends
it 20 times to the printer.

Open winecfg. I select the Audio tab and click the Test Sound button.
With only the OSS or the ALSA driver, the Test Audio button produces
Audio Test failed..
sudo apt-get remove pulseaudio.
now everything works.
What a piece of crap. I
Sound will work then just stop sometimes.
I've noticed this while using VLC.
I have solved the problem by removing pulseaudio completely.

Hi
Thank you very much. I will try this in a bit. I tried reinstalling
pulseaudio using the standard apt-get and received the same error in
winecfg. I will download the one from the link you sent me .
Once again thank you very much
