Apologies for doing this in my main system rather than whilst installing
in the VM. This is a long-standing bug at least in the Kubuntu themed
installer; when one chooses "Guided: use entire disk and set up LVM and
encryption" two boxes but there but no labels to indicate

So sadly all I can report is that there was success in the Kubuntu amd64 oem

In any case, I'm unable to get the installer to actually install i386 on
this laptop *at all.* It has frozen at start, after connecting to
wireless, and after choosing auto-resize. Now it freezes after agreeing
that English is fine.

My difficulties also began upon upgrade. However, I get no warning. I'm
running the Plasma 5 desktop, so I have the new nm widget.
In spite of configuring my home wireless setup, including proper

Apt-cache-policy shows me that the name of this is kubuntu-notification-
helper. I'm filing a bug because now it pops up almost immediately upon
closing it, whether I take any action or not. The choices of drivers is
always the same, and I'm running what it reports is the

I see all the wireless signals in the neighborhood, but the connect
button does not connect my laptop to the internet. Also, history seems
lost, as it reports that my wifi has never been used, when it was in use
a few minutes before.

After adding cgmanager, qt4-default, and qdbus-qt5, all is back to
normal with wifi. I am also once again able to mount my phone with
Dolphin, and my soundcard is again correctly detected.

Same situation here: screen turns off, but true suspend doesn't happen,
and I cannot wake the session successfully. This was true
This netbook just upgraded to Precise. Beta Kubuntu cake perhaps not
fully baked yet.
