Just a little message to say that i upgraded to latest
linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic_2.6.24-19.36_i386.deb (so it overwrote yours) and
after a reboot the problem was here again.

I've created a cronjob in /etc/cron.daily (a very simple mysqldump) and
have been looking for weeks why it wouldnt execute... Following the

Considering that we bought 4 SUN servers x4100 a year ago because they
were certified for Dapper, and considering that i need to install Dapper
to get Zimbra support, I feel quite concerned to learn here that the

Hi,
I checked my bios and the only USB related option is to disable an USB
emulation (related to HDD, CD... possible USB boot devices I think)...
and it is already disabled.
I also already have a custom DSDT for this laptop, related to acpi bios
bugs (GPU was not cooling, sound irq routing
For P100 models, alsa sources shows it defaults to laptop-eapd. Maybe it should
be changed (or more precisely setup by version).
Mine is a PSPA3E and laptop-eapd seems to work (except for resume as well), but
maybe other P100 versions will not.

linux-acpi tolerance to bios (claiming they are acpi ones! They may be

I recently reinstalled my toshiba p100 laptop from Dapper to Hardy...
Recently, I also changed my HDD for a WD Scorpio 320Gb.
This configuration was working nicely under dapper, with both original
drive (fujitsu 100Gb) and new one I used a few days before reinstall.
Under Hardy, I was surprised
This problem is still there under ubuntu Hardy 8.04 (LTS... but with present
settings, my HD will not last 3 years!).
I've a brand new HDD, a WD scorpio 320Gb. Hardy hdparm -B defaults to 128 even
on AC power, leading this drive to have heads parked/unparked every minutes.

Ok I know why there is this bug, when you edit (CTRL+B) places you can
see some of them that are no more valid (folder deleted by example).
But due to these bad places the move of places to change their order is
invalid.
If you delete them, it works perfectly.

I understand... maybe it could be in the backports short list after the
release? Cause it's really a missing feature a lot of people was
expecting for long, especially for an LTS version that targets
servers/enterprises (that will live for next 5 years)...

Apply openssh sftp-chroot
Will the version of OpenSSH server included in Gutsy be 4.8?
Otherwise, applying this patch to the version of OpenSSH included in
Gutsy should be considered for an LTS version (used in enterprise, lots
of them trying to get rid of unsecured FTP servers without the hassle to
handle a chroot
Oupsss... On my last post I wrote Gutsy but was of course thinking of
Hardy...

By displaying the location bar in the file chooser, and after some
sequence of operations, the file chooser displays the first hidden files
in the alphabetical order but with the number of non-hidden files.
Low priority.

1 - open a gtk
I don' t reproduce this bug with 0.1.7-0ubuntu4.
I am able to reliably mount a sftp location from within nautilus or using
gvfs-mount.

After last update, I don't have this problem anymore. Don't know what

Where I am supposed to unlock the key ?
When I log with ssh, I don't have anymore a popup asking for a passphrase.
I have the standard prompt on the command line asking me to enter the
passphrase to enter the key.
You don't experience the same behavior ?
My related environment variable are:
An update request has been done in Bug #129228 and the 0.10.0 version
with unicode support is comming soon
