I am using Lucid, and I accidentally discovered that the wxwidgets2.8
package is installed from a PPA. I removed the PPA and downgraded the
package to the original lucid version and now pgadmin3 works.

I tried to install a lot of programs (10+), and after the 8th one,
programs started not appearing on the 'Installing packages' screen. I
closed the software center. Now, the downloading and installing happens
in the background, and if I start the software center it dies with this

Hi,
I have a 64 bit Karmic Koala with Intel 4500mhd graphics.
Sometimes I experience this bug on certain sites and certain situations
(eg. youtube works, embedded youtube player not). Sometimes rebooting
solves the problem, sometimes not.
Really weird.

I am also interested in this feature. It is really annoying, when popups comes
up during:
- films
- presentations
- games (causing to flicker the screen for 1-2 secs, which is pretty bad)
It would be a very cool thing if I can turn it off temporarily (maybe a
switch as a panel item?).

I can confirm this bug on my laptop (ThinkPad R500 [Intel video card
