Although late I want to pin my name to the list of users who think that
resizing windows by grabbing the (any) boarder does turn out the be

having or had the same problem.
I've backed up all my evolution under Intrepid and once I imported it back in
Jaunty I had this stange problem of not receiving all mail!.
I checked my mailbox sizes but all are below 1 Gig so there should be no size
restrictions.

I had another test on a different old Dell notebook where I had the same
screen issues (no higher res by autodetect) with Xubuntu.
This time the fix/trick did not work, or it did not yield the desired

I added a truecrypt ext3 partition to my recently-purchased Seagate FreeAgent
Go 160GB external disk. The driver was ntfs pre-formatted and auto mount worked
with no probs. unmounting was not really possible as the drive was remounted a
few seconds after unmounting (klick, no console).
I have the same problems with my installation, feisty all updates applied.
dates after 1969 work, 1968 dont.
