I got it fixed after upgrading from 18.04 to 19.04, but it was not
upgrading that solved it. The issue is still there in 19.04.
The solution for me was disabling secure boot, purging the nvidia
drivers and then reïnstalling them.

yes, I purged all mysql packages, which caused mainly many KDE apps to
end up uninstalled, such as the entire KDE-office package, but it did
not help at first. I do have it working now, but I don't know what I did

I don't know if it is relevant, or related, but after adding new songs
to the directory containing my music, rhythmbox just doesn't work
anymore... grays out after a while... was thinking, maybe it can't
update the metadata, because of this bug... the error above did show up
regularly since ubuntu
It was fixed in 11.10, but the same issue returned in 12.04. Perhaps the
same solution can be used.

Qjackctl systray-restoring impossible
I have a similar problem, right clicking shows a menu, but the menu's
are unresponsive. Clicking on the shown options doesn't do anything.
Running ubuntu 12.04, firefox 12. Running in KDE it works fine. I'm not
sure if it's the same issue, but it seems like it is.

sometimes it just dissapears, though it still runs. When in a chatroom
for example, and minimized it is impossible to get it restored to the
screen.
It is really hard to reproduce, because it seems to happen

as asked I tryed to boot, according to the wiki. Since the system hangs
completely, I could not create a log-file. I did take a picture with my camera
though.

I've got the same problem here. Changing the audio settings in Gnome
preferences from pulse-audio to Alsa, makes a difference. wma files are
being played, but chopped terribly. It's impossible to hear the song.
Using Alsa as setting in Gnome does not make rhythmbox hang though.

I had to compile Blender 2.43 from cvs to get working sound.
The above mentioned techniques did not work for me, on builds I had
downloaded from the website of Blender.
Now I do have sound, but I still had to disable gamesound to have sound
from the sequencer, which I did not have to do in 2.42.
