Set Zoom on and magnification to 2.0, and magnification pushes content around.
Move mouse to side or up and screen will blank and be logged out.
It will be extremely difficult to turn off zoom because every attempt to move
mouse will cause you to log out.

I get this, too. I've found that if the left-mouse button stops working
(on my external mouse), then if I click on the touchpad left-mouse
button, all reverts to normal. It seems to be stuck in some sort of
selection mode (sometimes text highlights as I move the mouse).

I am seeing this bug, too. Home folder does not respond to compact layout or
icon resizing via menu. Resizing by Ctrl-scroll wheel works in all windows.
However, sub-folders seem to be behaving correctly via menu setting (compact
view and icon size). Setting changed in nautilus as above.
I'm unable to verify on 9.04 as my machine is running 8.10.
It was an easily reproducible error, though, following the steps I gave.

Open a writer document. Make some changes.
Copy a whole bunch (say, 10) TTF files into ~/.fonts

I guess I should also mention that audio is fine when not muted - even quiet

I'm also getting noise when muted (popping/static), but this goes away when the
volume is at anything other than zero.
Interestingly in alsa volume control muting PCM in the vloume control
produces the static noise, muting master produces no sound (as you would
expect from mute).

In order to let it detect S-video displays you need to manually
using the open source ati driver the TV-out is not auto-configured, i have to
manually turn on detection with:
xrandr --output S-video --set load_detection 1
This means that i can't use a TV as the sole output without changing the
xorg.conf file, or manually using xrandr.

I'm running the gutsy alpha, updated today (20070918), and still have issues
with the backlight.
The function keys increase/decrease the brightness as normal, but the Power

The function keys increase/decrease the brightness as normal, but the Power
Manager Brightness Applet still can't control the brightness, and I don't see

Thanks Erik, i grabbed the source for the package (and dependencies including
libsmbios, compiled and installed the deb, added the module dcdbas to
/etc/modules and it worked fine (on a dell d620).
Looks like the debs in gutsy still aren't built with dell-backlight support
correctly - they
I see the same problem with LCD panel 1440 x 900 - it has a variety of
resolutions both higher and lower, but not 1440x900.

same here problem here, running gutsy herd 5 amd64 livecd, plus all updates as
of now (20070927).
This happens just after clicking forward after the audio test (which worked
fine)
