This is still present I believe. If one has not got the firmware on the
system (via the b43 or other way of obtaining it). It would seem that
pcmcia hotplugging is weird with this card.

testing. 138256 BUG number. This fix might only help out dell intel
computers (may have a different acpi protocol to other laptops /
systems.)

ubuntu hardy beta freezes upon eject of a Broadcom 4318 PCMCIA card. The
firmware has not been given to it yet. It does not appear to be a problem with
the restricted drivers management(it did not get the firmware so..), rather
with acpi, networking manager all going in
Oh i did find a fix for a lot for some of this, you need to make sure
the correct permissions on the rasters are usable. i.e. under
/usr/lib/cups/filter the appropriate user has the permissions to use it
(for example lp has access to it). In general the raster that is failing
has different or
