I found the binaries and tested them. At least in my case there is no
improvement whatsoever. Still get dummy connections without DNS server.

I've verified upgrading to the package in intrepid fails due to conflicts with
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good-dbg.
I've verified upgrading to the package in intrepid-proposed works fine, even
with gstreamer0.10-plugins-good-dbg/hardy installed.
