Confirmed that this is happening on Linux Mint 13 (Mate). Did an apt-get
dist-upgrade after a fresh install and can see the grayed out nm-applet with no
signal strength and not showing that it is connected even though it is.
Connected AP shows up in list as if it were not connected.

I have a little more information after doing some testing. I can
reproduce this reliably using rb 0.12.6 on karmic when context panel
plugin is activated and play songs in random order button selected. If
it matters, I also have a huge library. It seems like context panel will
not crash rb when
I can confirm this bug. I Just installed Karmic with the 'use entire disk'
option, on a 250GB hdd and got the error:
...no such device. I did'nt try any of the fixes above. I reinstalled with
smaller /, /home, data partition, /swap. Other installs of Ubuntu on the same
250GB hdd went fine.

Hello,
I don't have a crash report but I can confirm that this rb crashes when Context
Plugin is installed.
Rb 0.12.6, Karmic 9.10 with latest updates.
Hello,
I'm having the same problem with Rhythmbox 0.12.6 with the context plugin
enabled, or hidden with the I button.
I can reproduce it a
Confirmed that the workaround did the trick. Thanks mc4man and Charlie!
Now I don't feel like I'm doing something bad when I change my CPU freq.
Doh! :)

Sorry about all the emails, but I'll be out of town all week. I got it
working after trying another command from man radeon: Here is the new
xorg.conf that is working for plugging my S-video out to my TV and
turning it on or off in the /System/Preferences/Display applet. This

I can also confirm this. When maximizing Thundrbird from the bottom
panel top shows that Xorg spikes to 50, 80, 90 percent. Switching
between mail page and lightning calendar page also spikes it.
Thunderbird is slow and laggy in Karmic.

I found some xrandr commands in the forums that forced S-video out to TV:
xrandr --output S-video --set load_detection 1
xrandr --output S-video --auto
This works now, but still don't know how to get a working xorg.conf file
that does the same thing in Karmic.
