Got this error after upgrading to karmic-64
possible workaround.
i got the packagekit-gtk-module rpm, opened it in archive manager and
then extracted the missing .so to /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules.
added /usr/lib/gtk-2.0 to /etc/ld.so.conf and ran ldconfig
i also uninstalled all python and gtk nautilus plugins/extensions as
well and so far

Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty (DVD image install) / XP home dual boot - hard drive
stays on completely solid in ubuntu, works just fine in XP
Iostat shows no disk activity running as 'iostat 2'
updatedb is not running
