I encountered a bug too. Seems the Output volume was amplified, i.e.
more than 100 %. Setting the Output volume at exactly 100% restarted the

yes, i also feel the same, that there should be a close button on the
notification. I dont want my colleagues to see who is online, or what
song I listen to, when they are over on my PC. Even if there is a

On Kubuntu Jaunty 9.04, my laptop freezes after I try to logout. My KDE
session ends, but I never get the KDM login screen and the system
freezes. Even toggling num-lock does not work. I need to poweroff and

Since the problem occurs with both totem and VLC, it seems problem lies in
the kernel.
I have just installed 2.6.24-18-generic kernel update from ubuntu update
manager, and problem still persists!
Hope they resolve the problem soon :)

to usplash was broken. Fixed that to point to
